Raising Emotionally Smart Kids

We all know that life is full of feelings. As adults, we’ve learned how to move through many emotions — joy, frustration, pride, worry, excitement, and everything in between. But when we think back to our own childhood, or look at the children around us, we remember something important: kids feel all these same emotions too, but they don’t always have the words to explain them.

Instead, their feelings often show up through actions — a sudden tantrum, a burst of anger, a silly moment, or big expressive movements. Sometimes these reactions are sweet or funny, and other times they can be really hard for us to handle.

My books were created to gently guide children and young people as they learn to understand their emotions. They share a simple but powerful message: every feeling — whether we think of it as “good” or “bad” — is natural, normal, and allowed. And every feeling can be expressed in a healthy way.

Through fun activities and easy, practical tools, these books help kids build strong coping skills. With just a little time each week, children can learn how to calm their bodies, understand what they’re feeling, and lift their mood when things feel heavy. These skills become a foundation they can carry with them throughout childhood and into adulthood.

My books cover topics such as:

  • Emotional Regulation Activities

  • Coping Skills for Kids

  • Helping Kids with Big Emotions

  • Calming Strategies for Children

  • Emotional Intelligence for Kids

  • Mindfulness for Kids

  • Anger Management for Kids

  • Anxiety Activities for Children

  • Social‑Emotional Learning Activities

  • Emotional Regulation Games

They teach children and young people how to understand their feelings and grow into calm, confident, emotionally aware individuals.
